1. The Service (Agency Agreement)
1.1 Appointment as Agent
By placing an order, you appoint RegNow to act as your agent. You grant us express permission to use your personal details (including name and address) to purchase a registration mark on your behalf from the DVLA and to facilitate the issuance of a V750 Certificate of Entitlement in your name.
1.2 Facilitation vs. Issuance
RegNow facilitates the application process; however, the V750 Certificate is a government document issued and dispatched by the DVLA. We are not liable for delays or errors caused by the DVLA’s internal processing or postal systems.
2. Pricing and Payments
2.1 Total Price
The price displayed at checkout includes the statutory cost of the registration mark from the DVLA (which includes VAT charged by the DVLA) and our agency service fee. The cost of the registration mark and the assignment fee are treated as disbursements paid by RegNow on your behalf. RegNow makes no markup on these specific third-party costs.
2.2 VAT Status & Invoices
RegNow is not VAT registered. We do not charge VAT on our agency service fee. Please note: We cannot provide a VAT invoice for our portion of the service.
3. The Transfer Process & User Liability
Our service covers the purchase and the initial admin to secure your V750. Once this is complete, we provide you with instructions to finalize the transfer.
3.1 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify RegNow against any fines, penalties, or legal actions resulting from the premature or incorrect display of registration plates or failure to comply with DVLA regulations.
3.2 Vehicle Compatibility
It is your sole responsibility to ensure the registration mark is compatible with your vehicle’s age. You cannot use a mark to make a vehicle appear newer than it is. No refunds are provided for compatibility errors.
4. Physical Registration Plates
4.1 Standard Provision
Orders include one (1) “Free” standard road-legal printed plate. This specification does not include customisations such as 3D-Gel, 4D, or tinted finishes.
4.2 Upgrades and 3rd Parties
Any customisations are subject to additional charges. Physical plates are manufactured and dispatched by a DVLA-approved third-party provider. RegNow is not the manufacturer and is not liable for manufacturing defects beyond facilitating a replacement for faulty goods reported within 3 working days.
4.3 Delivery
Standard delivery is free (2nd Class), typically arriving in 2-5 business days. While we aim for delivery within 7 business days, we are not liable for delays caused by postal services or extenuating circumstances.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Because we act as an agent for a third-party purchase (DVLA), our refund policy is governed by the following:
- No Guaranteed Refunds: Once the purchase is made with the DVLA, a refund cannot be guaranteed.
- Discretionary Refunds: We will attempt to recover the cost from the DVLA if requested. If granted, we will return that amount to you within 10 working days of us receiving it.
- Admin Fees: RegNow reserves the right to retain the agency service fee to cover work already performed.
6. Legal Protections
6.1 Data Protection
We store your data securely to fulfill the agency contract. This includes sharing details with the DVLA and our plate manufacturers. We do not sell your data to third parties. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the total price paid for your order. We are not liable for “Force Majeure” events (e.g., DVLA system outages or postal strikes).
6.3 Governing Law
This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
